AbbVie Appoints Kelly Sanderson Schrems as UK Vice President and General Manager

Maidenhead, UK, 11 May, 2026 – AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) today announced that Kelly Sanderson Schrems has been appointed as Vice President and General Manager, UK. With effect from 11th May 2026, Kelly succeeds Steve Hopkinson who has been appointed Vice President of US Dermatology, after two years in the UK Vice President and General Manager role.

Kelly brings 13 years of experience at AbbVie across commercial, operational, and strategic leadership roles in the US and Europe. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Commercial Operations for AbbVie's Oncology franchise. She has previous experience in the UK market, having spent a year in AbbVie UK’s Oncology franchise. Prior to joining AbbVie, Kelly was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. 

Commenting on her appointment, Kelly said “I’m delighted to be returning to the UK to lead AbbVie’s UK business and to be building on the exceptional progress Steve has driven during his time as General Manager.

It is an important time to be stepping into this role. Kelly received her Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She also attended the University of Michigan where she earned a Master of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering.
